Ephrain D. Harris, EA has been working in the tax and accounting profession for over 13 years. In 1988 he began as a tax accountant for Goodman & Co. a local CPA firm in Norfolk, VA. From there he worked for the American Red Cross in the purchasing Department as an Inventory Control Specialist until 1992. In the spring of 1992 he began working for Peninsula Software Of Virginia as a Corporate Accountant. In February of 2006 left Peninsula Software of Virginia and began operating Can Do Accounting, Inc full-time.
In July of 1994, Ephrain opened his own tax and accounting practice Can-Do-Accounting, Inc on a part-time basis where he specializes in individual, corporate, partnership, non- profit and small business consulting. In the fall of 1996 he passed the Special Enrollment Examination given by the Internal Revenue Service to become an Enrolled Agent. The Special Enrollment Examination is an extensive examination given once a year that tests ones knowledge of Individual Income Taxes, Sole Proprietorships and Partnerships, Corporations (including S Corporations), Fiduciaries, Estate and Gift Tax Trusts and Ethics, Recordkeeping Procedures, Appeals Procedures, Exempt Organizations, Retirement Plans, Practitioner Penalty Provisions, Research Material and Collections Procedures. In August of 2002 he earned a Master of Taxation from Old Dominion University.
